We got an early Christmas Present: A brand new kayak launch!
And we plan to use it for the first time on Dec 26. The new launch is at Trinity View Park in Irving.
This is a section of the paddle trail at the lower end of the Elm Fork to the Main Stem and into Dallas that rarely gets paddled because of lack of access. Be one of the first to check out this new launch site!
PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION

We plan to meet at Trinity View at 10 AM, drop boats and set shuttle to take out at Trammel Crow Park. (Warning the launch there is very muddy right now due to silt deposited during recent rains. I plan to bring plastic rugs to make the takeout a little better. The city plans to clean it off, but it probably will not manage that before we launch.) To set shuttle we will take drivers and cars to Trammell Crow Park and bring back the drivers. Someone will stay with the boats during shuttle. At the end someone will bring the shuttle driver back to get shuttle vehicle.
All rentals must be paid for or at least requested before noon Dec 24th. I do not plan to spend Christmas loading boats!

Temps currently forecast to be low through mid 60's, small chance of rain in the early morning before launch time.

GEAR
Wear layers warm water friendly clothes and bring a change of clothes (just in case), warm water friendly footwear. (for more information on how to dress check out this article and video Here. Bring a small sack lunch to either eat on the water or at the takeout. Bring water.
