The lake is back up, so we have a chance to explore Village Creek at the south end of Lake Arlington. We will launch at Bowman Springs (Not our normal launch site) and paddle to Tree Island, where the higher lake level will allow us to actually paddle among the trees. Then we will cross to the channel around the southern island where bird life is often abundant. We will take a left turn under the I30 bridge and enter the riparian environment of Village Creek, seldom visited except by fishermen who know it’s secrets. We will have lunch on the creek and then return via the east side of the lake. Bring a sack lunch, water, sunscreen, hat. Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet (you can swim in the creek).
Price includes boat (kayak, canoe, SUP), PFD, Paddle, and guide.

We are joining with the Trinity River Paddling Trail Association and Groundwork Dallas to clean up a part of the Trinity paddle Trail.
Trinity River clean up; California Crossing Park to Frazier Dam Recreation Area. This is a new area that many have never seen to because access has been difficult. But now with boat ramps at California Crossing and access to the newly renovated Frazier Dam recreational Area, we have a great stretch of river to enjoy! The total distance is a little over 5 miles and we’ll have help with shuttle arrangements. This section of the river is an easy paddle and should be a fun experience for the family.
****JUNE 9, 2019****
We are starting at California Crossing Park at 9am and take out and Frazier Dam Recreation Area. We’ll work in groups of 4-6 paddlers and each group will have a small section of the river to clean up. For all those participating we will have a cookout for lunch.
If you are in town please consider helping with this cleanup it has the visibility of some of our supporters of the Trinity River Paddling Trail. And it will show the that local paddlers definitely have an interest in the Trinity River.
If you do not have a boat, rental kayaks and PFD's will be available at a discount rate of $15 per person from us but must be requested in advance. I have limited space on my trailer so reserve early.
Feel free to call for more information: 214 478-7856.
Trash bags, grabbers, and gloves will be provided by Groundwork Dallas.
